Millennium play

To celebrate the millennium, local author and former BBC producer and journalist Frances Donnelly (then living at Half Moon Cottage) was commissioned to write a play for villagers to enact.

The four sold-out performances of About Time took place in early March 2000 at the Village Hall and were well reviewed in the local papers. Directed by Christine Harvey, it told the story of Metfield from its probable foundation in Anglo-Saxon times to the present day. With a cast of over 50 people, mostly villagers, Mike How and Gail Eastaugh played the lead roles, Stuart Orr was the narrator, and scenery was painted by local artist Frank Beanland, helped by Bridget Morley.

Were there any photos of the cast/performances or news cuttings?
