Local sourcing is about being at the heart of the local community. We define local products as those that are made, grown or reared where we live. We look for goods that have a local taste or delicacy. We feel our customers recognise this and thereby create a demand for these special items. If you are interested in supplying Metfield stores with local produce, please get in touch. 

Delicious bread – including sourdough – from a range of local suppliers is very popular and can be ordered weekly for you. Ask at the shop. And have you tried our hot sausage rolls, pies and pasties (veggie and vegan as well)? Extremely popular as a lunchtime snack, they tend to go like hot, well, like hot sausage rolls!

At the same time, we always have in stock affordable ranges of the more run-of-the-mill essentials. We aim to offer something for everyone, whatever your budget. If there’s something you can’t see in the shop but would like to buy on a regular basis, just ask the volunteer on shift.
